08 / 14 / 2025Prevalia Sewers
- Prevalia Sewers is a new Sanctuary Dungeon being introduced that is intended for newer players who have left Shelter Island
Accessing the Prevalia Sewers
- There are 5 Entrances to Prevalia Sewers that players can access at different locations throughout northern Prevalia
Exit locations within the Prevalia Sewers
Atlases and New Player Rune Tome Quest
- Entries for Prevalia Sewers have been added into Atlas Books under the New Player category and Sub-Dungeon category
- While there are 5 possible entrances for the Prevalia Sewers, the Atlas entry will point to the one closest one to Prevalia Bank (northern-most)
- Any newly-created New Player Rune Tomes (created from the Rune Tome quest) will now have Prevalia Sewers added as an entry
Prevalia Sewer Quest
- Players will have access to a new Quest that takes place in the Prevalia Sewers, which can accepted from Sebastion the Sewer Worker stationed outside of the northern Prevalia Sewers entrance
- Players who complete the quest will receive a Rental Room Credit Deed worth 10,000 gold placed into their Backpack (item is Blessed)
Rental Room Credit Deeds
- Rental Room Credit Deeds will now work for Rental Rooms rented by any character on the same OutlandsID as the deed’s listed character
Quests
- Fixed a large number of display and mechanical issues for Quests
Creature Kill Credit
In order for a player to get credit for a Creature Kill for Quests, Societies, Achievements, ServerRank, etc players must now have done at least one of the following:
- Inflicted 5% or more of the total damage inflicted on the creature (previously was 10%)
- Inflicted 2000 or more damage to the creature (previously was 5000)
Note: As a reminder, players who are in Parties with Share Experience toggled will divide their damage equally amongst all other party members with Share Experience on, allowing non-damaging players such as Healers or Bards to be treated as having inflicted damage for the purposes of earning credit on Creature Kills
Corpse Creek Contest
Beacon Locations
- Each Corpse Creek Contest will now only have 2 Beacons spawn, which will randomize their location from 3 possible locations (current location spots)
Magical Travel
- Players are now prevented from traveling via Recall/Gate/Hiking/etc to any location within 50 tiles of a Beacon during a Corpse Creek Contest
House Occupancy
- Players who spend 5 or more consecutive seconds inside of a house will now have a 60 second delay after exiting the house before they will count towards contesting beacons or receiving score for kills or capped beacons
- Players who are inside of a house will not receive score for previously capped beacons
Town Struggle
- Fixed an outlier issue where players could participate in an un-mounted Town Struggle and become Mounted
Factions
- If a character earns Faction Score or participates in a Faction activity (such as Flag Escorting / Wayposts / etc) there will be a 60 minute cooldown before any different character on that player’s OutlandsID can earn Faction score or contribute to faction activities
- Players will receive a “You have participated in factions with a different character too recently to participate in factions with another.” message when they are blocked from earning Faction Score or prevented a from a specific Faction activity due to this cooldown
Ships
Ship Placement
- Restrictions for placing a ship after being sunk or being on another ship are now resolved by OutlandsID instead of by IP Address
Spyglasses
- The Spyglass Search Distance reduction for player ships is now 50% (previously was 33%)
- Minimum Search Range for Spyglasses is now 50 (previously was 30)
Infamy
- Each player now has an Infamy value tracked for them on the Ocean that applies to all characters across their OutlandsID
- Whenever a player receives any doubloons for sinking another Player Ship, if they have an equal or greater amount of Infamy than the sunk ship’s captain, the player will increase their Infamy by 1
- At the start of each day players will lose 1 Infamy
Infamy Exemptions
- Players will not gain Infamy from sinking ships in the same Guild, Alliance, or Party as the player, of if a Guild War exists between the players
- While a contested Ocean Boss is alive, any player ship that approaches within 100 tiles of the Ocean Boss will become flagged as Infamy Exempt for the next 5 minutes (will continously refresh while within 100 tiles or if they leave/return to within 100 tiles)
- If a player has an Infamy Exemption in place, and are sunk by another player, the Infamy mechanic will be ignored (regardless of distance to the contested Ocean Boss)
- If a player with an Infamy Exemption in place docks their ship, their Infamy Exemption will be cleared
Infamy Spyglass Mechanics
- For each point of Infamy that a player has, all other players receive a flat bonus of 25 tiles to Spyglass Search Distance against them (after all bonuses/penalties/wakescalar are applied), up to maximum bonus of 250 tiles
- Ships captained by a player with 5 Infamy or more will display in Orange in the Spyglass Search results menu
Viewing Infamy- Players can now view their current Infamy value on the Dockmaster menu
Dockmaster
- Players can now double-click a Dockmaster while on land to launch its Dockmaster menu
- After a player launches a ship from a house-based Dockmaster, all other players (by OutlandsID) must wait 3 minutes before launching a ship from Dockmasters at the same house
Parties and Alliances- Party Members and Alliances will no longer display as Green in Spyglass search results
- Party Features (other than Chat) are now disabled for players on Ships
Tracking- The Tracking skill will no longer return results for any players or creatures on Ships
Ship Bans
- Staff members can now apply a Ship Ban on players found to be abusing ship mechanics or any behavior we deem to violate our TOS
- Players with a Ship Ban in place cannot embark onto any ships or travel to them, and will be ejected to town if they set foot on a ship
- The duration of a Ship Ban is up to staff discretion, and may range from Days, Weeks, up to a permanent Ban from the Ships System
- Note: Players who intentionally use ships to block/impede other players activity, but refrain from engaging/attacking them, will be considered an abuse of the intended gameplay of the ships system and will receive consideration from staff for potential Ship Bans
