PATCH: May 9 – Performance and Bug Fixes

Performance / Lag

  • Found the issue that was causing recent Lag/CPU usage upswings over the last few days and resolved it

Crash Protection

  • When the server crashes, player’s tamed creatures will automatically be “stashed” away and will no longer be at risk of abandonment if the player does not log in within the next 24 hours

Weather

  • Disabled OSI’s default Weather cycle handling (to save CPU and player memory usage)

Player Vendors:

  • Fixed an issue that was sometimes preventing funds from being withdrawn from a vendor owner’s bank if the vendor is running low on holding funds at the time rental fees were to be paid

Barkeeps

  • Dismissing a Barkeep now returns a contract to the player

NPC Training

  • Fixed an issue where requesting NPC training for Stealth would result in Stealing training

Sanguineous

  • Added some performance updates to Sanguineous to reduce CPU usage from his abilities

Magic Lock

  • Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause the spell to not complete its casting

Houses

  • Players can no longer use the Teleport spell to teleport between houses

Murderer Penalty Gump

  • Fixed a discrepancy that would sometimes occur between the displayed gold cost and the actual charged amount
