PATCH: November 12 – QoL Additions and Bug Fixes
11 / 12 / 2020Attacking Other Players
- Performing an aggressive action towards another player that would result in a “You are attacking X!” message (i.e. Double-Click attacking them) will now reveal the attacker
PvP Participation and Healing
- Fixed several issues that were causing certain players to not automatically become event participants for Corpse Creek Contests or Dungeon Flashpoints
- Fixed an issue where players who are Dishonored were prevented from performing Beneficial Actions (such as Healing) to guildmates during Corpse Creek Contests
PvP Damage Tracking
When a player dies during a PvP event (Town Struggles, Stygian Rifts, Corpse Creek Contests, Dungeon Flashpoints), any damage coming from other players will be ignored for determining kill credit / points / etc if either of the following occurs:
- 30 seconds have passed since the player last damaged the dying player
- The dying player has been healed to 100% Hit Points and has not been damaged by the other player since reaching full health
Stygian Rifts
- Matchmaking for Stygian Rifts will now occur in descending order for ELO Rating for teams (rather than trying to match teams within a similar ELO rating window) in order to try to more accurately match teams in terms of relative strength
- ELO Rating will now change 3x more for wins/losses per match than before (to try to separate out “good” teams from “bad” teams much faster)
Rental Rooms
- When a player’s Rental Room contract expires, all other characters on their account (not just the character who initiated the rental contract) will be properly ejected from the Rental Room even if logged out there
- Using the “Help Stuck” mechanic in a rental room will now say “You teleport outside of the rental room.” instead of “house”
Dye Confirmations
- When players attempt to dye all of their worn equipment simultaneously with a Dye Tub (by targeting themselves with it) it will automatically cancel the attempt if any of their worn items is currently of a rare hue, and will inform the player they will have to manually dye those items individually
- Any time a player attempts to use a Dye Tub to override an item with a rare hue, they will have to perform the action twice to confirm it (players will be informed they must do this to proceed)
- Any time a player uses a Special Dye Item (such as Runebook Dye, Carpet Dye, Furniture Dye, etc) players will have to perform the action twice to confirm it
- Backpack Dyes now require players to target themselves (similar to handling for Hair Dye and Facial Hair Dye) in order to change their backpack’s hue
Fish Bait
- Fixed an issue where an Opened Fish Bait would sometimes not expire properly after the 1 hour duration
Fishing Frenzy / Fishing Map Locations
- Fixed several “bad” locations for Fishing Frenzies and Fishing Maps
Storage Shelves and Storage Lockers
- Players will now only be able to Restock a Storage Shelf or Storage Locker from within a Bank Box, Ship’s Hold, or while the player is currently inside a House (players will no longer be able to do it while the Shelf/Locker is sitting in their backpack in areas such as dungeons or the wilderness)
- Fixed an issue where the Retrieve Items mechanic of a Storage Shelf or Storage Locker would sometimes not perform certain validation checks for distance, LOS, etc
Mastery Chains
- Similar to handling for Aspects, players can now only change their Mastery Chain at most once every 30 seconds (players will be prevented from equipping it until that 30 seconds passes)
Explosion Potions
- If a player uses Telekinesis to create a “Sticky” explosion potion onto a Tamed/Summoned creature, it will now correctly damage that creature (but only that creature)
Arena Tournaments
- Players will no longer be able to sign up for an Arena Tournament unless they have a tournament-valid Arena Template activated or their current set of stats/skills meets the tournament ruleset (this is to prevent players from accidentally “discovering” when the tournament starts that they don’t have a valid setup to participate properly)
Summoned Abilities
- Fixed an issue that was causing Summoner’s Tome abilities such as Explosive Departure, Feedback, and Lifecycle to not correctly fire off when the creature expires/deletes
Creature Control Slots
- Fixed several issues related to players sometimes mounting/dismounting and not having the correct number of Follower Slots used based on their current tamed/summoned creatures
Releasing Followers
- When players release an individual follower, it will now display the name of the follower in the confirmation menu
Whirlwind Arcane Rune
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Whirlwind Arcane Rune to not calculate its Swing Speed bonus for players correctly
Notoriety
- Fixed an issue that was causing the [PreventCriminalHealing mechanic to not work correctly in some scenarios
- Players should no longer be able to perform any Criminal actions anywhere on Shelter Island or the New Player Dungeon
Murder Count Decay
- Fixed an issue that was causing the time required to work off murder counts to fluctuate slightly (i.e players who were online for 12 hours might only experience 11 hours and 50 minutes of decay on occasion)
Llama Mount Breeding Hues
- Fixed an issue that was causing one of the Llama Mount Breeding hue ranges to not spawn or advance properly (Hue 1821 now is correctly Hue 1828)
Defoliant
- Fixed an issue that was causing newly crafted Defoliants to not become stackable
