PATCH: May 21 – Bug Fixes & Town Struggle Updates

Town Struggles

ELO Rating

  • Team balancing for Town Struggles will no longer be based on ELO Rating and will instead use a combination of other factors (players were already becoming too emotionally wrapped up in their own ELO Rating and the consequences of it)
  • Players will no longer have an ELO Rating displayed for their character or their team in Town Struggles

Team Scores

  • Players will no longer be able to view the Team Score of their opponents while Town Struggle is still in progress

Reward Points

  • Players can now earn a maximum of 5 Reward Points from any Town Struggle event
  • MVP for each Faction/Team is now worth 2 Bonus Reward Points (previously was 1)
  • Top Healer for each Faction/Team is now worth 2 Bonus Reward Points (previously was 1)
  • If there are 6 or more players on a Faction/Team, the 2nd best Healer on the team will receive 1 Bonus Reward Point

Town NPCs

  • Fixed an issue where some Town Guard NPCs (such as Cambrian Footman) were attackable by players during Town Struggles, which would result in players potentially becoming ‘Guard Whacked’: they will now be Blessed during the duration of the event

Player Weight

  • Removed a long-standing (OSI-era) mechanic where players would at minimum weigh 14 stones, which would count against their total carrying weight
  • A player’s equipped Backpack will now weigh 0 stones (previously would weigh 2 stones)
  • Players will now weigh 0 stones when naked; i.e. all players now have 16 bonus max carrying weight compared to before
  • Fixed an issue where a player single-clicking their Backpack in their paperdoll wouldn’t display their “true” total weight count

Black Goods

  • Fixed an issue that was preventing Black Goods that players receive from Pilfering / Mugging from upgrading beyond Extremely Common rarity

Houses

  • Fixed an issue that was causing Secure Container settings for Guild Rank Access to not work for any tomes (Aspect Item Tome, Mastery Chain Link Tome, etc) stored in those containers in a house

Guild Prestige Unlocks

  • Fixed an issue that was displaying incorrect results for which Guild Prestige Unlocks a guild had previously purchased

Taste ID

  • Fixed an issue where players Taste ID Herbal Poultice effect was potentially being overriden by a worse version from another player

Bank Deposit Safe

  • Single-clicking a Bank Deposit Safe in a house will display the player’s Bank Gold Balance
  • If a player has Doubloons or Prevalia Coins in their bank box, single-clicking will also display the player’s balance for those as well

Tracking

  • Any Tracking pointer arrows that players have up will be closed when the player either Recalls Gates Hikes / or Uses a Moongate

Ships

  • Fixed a number of mechanics that are intended to be “Captain-Only” that were still unintentionally usable by Co-Owners (such as Repairing the ship, Boarding Rope, etc)

Spyglasses

  • Un-Friendly Player Ships in the Spyglass results window will now display in Grey text
  • Friendly Player Ships in the Spyglass results window will display in Green text (same as before)
  • Hostile NPC Ships in the Spyglass Results window will display in Red text (same as before)
  • Non-Hostile NPC ships (such as Merchant, Tradesman, etc) in the Spyglass results window will now display in a Yellow text

AoE Spells

  • Fixed an issue where players inside an “outdoor” dungeon location such as Shadowspire Cathedral level 3 could hit players outside of the dungeon region (and vice versa) with Area-of-Effect spells such as Chain Lightning / Meteor Swarm / Earthquake

Rental Rooms

  • Fixed an issue where Tamed/Summoned Followers not belonging to the owner of a Rental Room would not be ejected from the room’s area when the room’s contract ends

Misc

  • Players can now use the Interior Decorator in a house to rotate Battle Commendations in 4 directions/facings
  • Removed the Prevalia Quarry entry from the Healer Caravans section of the Outlands Atlas and [Go menu
