Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas (to those who celebrate)! Outlands is pleased to share that we have once again made donations to the following charities this holiday season:
Childs Play – game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in a network of over 100 hospitals worldwide, giving sick kids a chance to play video games during treatment and hospice.
Able Gamers – a charity that wields the power of gaming to break down the barriers of economic and social isolation for children, adults and veterans with disabilities by providing custom gaming setups including modified controllers and special assistive technology.
ExtraLife – an annual fundraising event where gamers sign up to collect donations from friends and family, participants are required to spend a “day of play” marathoning video games in support of sick and injured kids.
Second Harvest Heartland – a member the USA’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, this nationwide network provides access to millions of pounds of surplus food and grocery donations, serving a 59-county area in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance – a charity dear to our hearts, MOCA funds research, provides support to women and families, educates the medical community and raises awareness regarding ovarian cancer.
Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation – a 60 year old charity dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke through research, education and treatment options.
