EVENT: Ossuary Deep Delve
05 / 23 / 2026Ossuary Deep Delve (Ossuary Level 4 Pre-Launch Event)
Following years of excavation, the Cambrian Archaeological Society now believes a sealed chamber lies hidden far below the known depths of Ossuary. In recent weeks, strange relics have begun surfacing across Avadon: some authentic, others convincing forgeries.

Beginning Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 at 11AM ET, adventurers may recover and appraise these relics in pursuit of secrets long buried beneath the sands. Bold, nay, foolish explorers may even attempt to forge jars of their own, gambling fortune and reputation against the scrutiny of the Society.
Once the event concludes, Level 4 of Ossuary Dungeon will become open to players!
How Do I Participate?
Canopic Jars
- Players will encounter Canopic Jars as uncommon loot from most gameplay systems (Killing Creatures, Dungeon/Treasure Map Chests, Ship Holds, etc)
- Canopic Jars are NOT blessed but cannot be stolen
- Canopic Jars are bound to the player who they appear as loot for, and cannot be used by anyone else
Authenticity
- Canopic Jars each have an Authenticity rating that begins at 100% when received as loot
- Authenticity rating reflects the chance that when appraised, it will be viewed as authentic and will earn Event Score for the player
- Jars that are appraised and not deemed authentic are considered Counterfeit and worth 0 Event Score for the player
- There are 10 different Ranks of Canopic Jars, each represented by a different creature
- The higher the Rank a Canopic Jar is, the more Event Score it is worth when appraised as authentic
- The Rank of a Canopic Jar is randomized, however Canopic Jars occuring inside of Ossuary Dungeon will have a moderate bonus to rank randomization
Forgery Tools
- Players will encounter Forgery Tools as uncommon loot from most gameplay systems (Killing Creatures, Dungeon/Treasure Map Chests, Ship Holds, etc)
- Forgery Tools are NOT blessed but cannot be stolen
- Forgery Tools are bound to the player who they appear as loot for, and cannot be used by anyone else
Forgery
- Players can double-click Forgery Tools and target a Canopic Jar to increase its Rank and its potential Event Score value
- Using Forgery Tools on a Canopic Jar will reduce its Authenticity % a random amount, with a higher potential reduction the higher the new rank
- When appraised (explained later) each Canopic Jar’s chance to be deemed as authentic is based on its Authenticity %
- If a jar is not deemed Authentic, it is considered Counterfeit and worth 0 Event Score for the player
- Players cannot use Forgery Tools on a Canopic Jar that is at 0% Authenticity
- Using Forgery Tools will consume 1 use from the tools and will be consumed after 3 uses
Appraising Canopic Jars
- Players can bring their Canopic Jars to be appraised at Arthus the Historical Preservation Officer at the Cambria Archaeological Society buliding which lies northwest of Cambria Bank
- Players can double-click the NPC or say “Event”, “Appraise”, or “Canopic” near them to launch the Event Menu menu
- Clicking the “Appraise Canopic Jars for Event Score” button at the bottom of the menu will have Arthus appraise all Canopic Jars the players has in the backpack
- Players will receive an Appraisal Report summarizing the findings of the Appraisal, including their total Event Score earned by all Canopic Jars appraised
- Any Canopic Jars deemed Counfeit (random chance based on Authenticity %) will be worth no Event Score
