EVENT: Stalag Grotto Survival (PvM)

Stalag Grotto Survival (PvM Event)
  • Stalag Grotto Survival is a 2 week long PvM event where players can gain temporary access to a new Stalag Grotto region
  • Players will compete against each by other slaying monsters in the region which will increase their [EventScore for the event
  • However, players will also have a Food Meter that drops during the event, and players will need to gather Herbs, Berries, and Mushooms in order to restore it, as their Food Meter directly affects how much [EventScore they’ll earn when killing creatures

Stalaghorns

  • When players kill creatures at any location (Dungeons, Wilderness, Oceans, etc) they have a chance (based on their % Damage Dealt to target) to receive a Stalaghorn in their backpack
  • Stalaghorns are bound to the player and will not be usable by other players
  • Stalagorns cannot be stolen, but will drop on death to the player’s corpse
  • Players will need to spend a Stalaghorn in order to gain access to the Stalag Grotto Survival event

Spirit of Leodcyning

  • In order to participate in the Survival event, players must first locate a “Spirit of Leodcyning” NPC
  • Players will be able to find this NPC in front of the Leodcyning’s Burial Mound POI Location, as well as near the banks in Prevalia and in Corpse Creek
  • If players say “Event”, “Stalag”, “Horn”, or “Grotto” near the NPC, or double-click them, it will launch the Survival Event Menu
  • Players gain access to the Stalag Grotto event region by having a Stalaghorn (that is bound to them) in their backpack and then clicking the “Enter Stalag Grotto” button in the menu, which will teleport them and their followers into the region

Food Meter

  • The Food Meter for a player begins at 100% and drops over time while in the event region, down to a minimum of 0%
  • While the Food Meter has no “direct” effect on a player’s gameplay, it will adjust how much [EventScore the player earns during the event from killing creatures, so players should try to keep their Food Meter as high as possible

Harvesting Plants

  • Throughout the Stalag Grotto various Harvestable Plants will spawn on the ground that players may harvest
  • Players can identify harvestable Plants by an overhead Green Progress Bar

  • Players can harvest plants by approaching them and double-clicking them
  • Players will continuously attempt to harvest from the same plant so long as they stay near it
  • Each harvest action will reduce the Progress Bar a randomized amount (player skills have no effect on the randomized amount)

  • Whichever player makes the last harvest attempt on a plant that reduces the Progress Bar to 0 will receive a Food Item in their backpack from the plant

  • Players who successfully harvest a plant will receive a Food Item in their backpack that is Bound to the player
  • Players can only eat Food Items that are Bound to them

[EventScore
The Stalag Grotto features a variety of unique creatures for players to kill, which doing so will increase their [EventScore

The amount of [EventScore that each player earns from killing a creature is determined by:

(Creature’s Base Gold Value * Damage % Player Dealt to Creature * Player’s Current Food Meter %)

YXz8o98.gif

Example
A player who has a Food Meter that is currently at 75% engages in combat with a creature that is normally worth 784 gold, and does 50% of the total damage dealt to it

For that creature they will earn (784 * 50% * 75%) = 294 towards their [EventScore

Players can type [EventScore at any time to see the current score for the event, with scores updated hourly

  • A player’s event session will end if 15 minutes pass or they leave the event region by any means
  • Players can optionally end their event session early by using the Grey Moongate on the east side of the region
Azvz67t.png

Being Ejected

  • When a player leaves the event region, they will be teleported to the last town they visited by Moongate and will be set as Hidden
  • Any Food Items (Herbs, Berries, Mushrooms) they have acquired in the event will be deleted when they leave the region

Creature Rare Drops

  • Creatures in the Stalag Grotto region will have a very low chance of dropping Rares
  • The chance that a creature will drop a Rare is scaled based on the Food Meter % of each player involved in the kill
