EVENT: The Reconstruction of Horseshoe Bay

Horseshoe Bay Reconstruction Event
In the wake of the devastation suffered to Horseshoe Bay, a reconstruction effort has been organized to restore the city. Players will be able to participate in a Reconstruction Event from Saturday January 20th at 11AM ET until January 27th 11AM.

 

 

How to Participate

  • While the Reconstruction Event is underway, any time a player Crafts any item that uses Valid Ingredients, they will have a chance at receiving a randomized Horseshoe Bay Construction Materials item into their backpack
  • Valid Ingredients include: Boards, Ingots, Leather, Reagents, Arcane Scrolls, Mastercrafting Diagrams, Pristine Lumber, Immaculate Stone, Special Cooking Ingredients, or any Aspect Items
  • The chance at receiving a Construction Material is scaled based on the relative “Gold Value” of the ingredients used for the crafting recipe

Horseshoe Bay Construction Materials

  • There are nine types of randomized Horseshoe Bay Construction Materials possible
  • Construction Materials are Bound to the player who creates them (and can only be turned in by them)
  • Construction Materials cannot be Stolen but they will drop on Death

Mason Guildmaster

  • Players can bring Horseshoe Bay Construction Materials (that are bound to them) to Nixia the Mason Grandmaster NPC who is located East of the Prevalia Bank

  • Players can launch the a Horseshoe Bay Rebuild Event Menu by double-clicking the Mason Grandmaster NPC
  • Players can also launch the menu by saying “Event“, “Material“, “Construct“, or “Build” near the NPC

Increasing EventScore

  • Players increase their [EventScore for the event by contributing Horseshoe Bay Construction Materials from their Backpack
  • Clicking the “Contribute” button next to a Material Type in the menu will contribute 1 item of that type from the player’s backpack, and increase their [EventScore by the amount listed
  • Each time any player contributes an item of a specific type, the “Demand” for that item type will decrease and the subsequent [EventScore value of Contributing that item will be reduced by 1 (to a minimum of 100)
  • However, The Demand (and resulting [EventScore value) of each item type will also automatically increase every few minutes

Horseshoe Bay Mason’s Tools

  • While the Event is underway, players will also have a chance to encounter Horseshoe Bay Mason’s Tools as loot occuring from most game systems (such as Monsters / Chests / Ships / etc)

  • Any player who has a Horseshoe Bay Mason’s Tools in their backpack while crafting, will have a significant bonus to their chance to generate Horseshoe Bay Construction Materials
  • Mason’s Tools are not bound to players, and can be used by anyone
  • Each crafting attempt will reduce the Condition of the tools (based on Gold Value of ingredients used) and they will break when at 0% Condition

[EventScore and Rank %

  • Each player has an [EventScore based on how well they do during the event
  • Players can type [EventScore to see their current EventScore for this event (scores are updated hourly)
  • At the end of the event, each player will have an Event Score Rank % determined for them based on how their [EventScore compares to all other players
  • Example: a player who ranked 100th in [EventScore out of 1000 total players will have a Rank % of 90% (since they did better than 90% of all other players)

What Are The Prizes?

  • Prizes for this event are distributed directly to player Bank Boxes at the end of the event
  • Players will receive ALL prizes shown below that their Rank % matches or exceeds

  • Captain’s Compass [25-50% Rank]
  • Nautical Astrolabe [50-75% Rank]
  • Crest of the Bay [75-95% Rank]
  • Seafaring Tapestry [95-100% Rank]
