Global Connection Accelerator

After a tumultuous week of connectivity issues, we are excited to announce that not only are we stable, but we have also implemented our Global Accelerator, which we hope will vastly improve connectivity for our players worldwide.

This is creating a direct line virtual private network (VPN) to the shard. Your connection is now entering the network on the edge – connecting to the nearest datacenter to you – and traveling across internal lines to our main datacenter, which is now located on East Coast USA.

Those connecting from Australia, Asia, South America and parts of Eastern Europe will notice the most improvement. Players have been reporting less packet loss, less latency and improved responsiveness ingame.
