Happy 6th Anniversary, Outlanders!

It’s hard to believe it’s been six incredible years since we first opened the doors of Outlands. We’re honored to have you by our side as we continue to shape this shard into something truly special, and we look forward to many more years together! To commemorate this milestone, we’re gifting every player a plush-cased Iron Ingot in a rare hue—a nod to iron being the traditional 6th anniversary gift. As we reflect on the past year, we want to celebrate a few highlights that made 2024 remarkable:

• Surpassing 5,000 concurrent users, a community milestone we couldn’t be more proud of! Outlands currently averages 3000 online users, further solidifying our place as the largest UO free shard to ever exist.
• The launch of Wildlands, which has brought fresh challenges and excitement to the shard.
• Standing resilient in the face of ongoing DDOS attacks—our gratitude goes out to the community for your support and patience through it all.
• And as we look ahead, we’re thrilled to soon bring you the Outlands Portal and Vendor Search, game-changing features which will begin to expand the Outlands ecosystem.
• Additionally, we’re excited to introduce exciting new updates, new dungeons and dungeon levels, reinvigorate the PvP scene, and a highly secret, never-before-attempted concept on a UO shard, along with much, much more to come!

A special thank you to our incredible support staff, talented development team, and gifted artists who work tirelessly to bring this world to life, constantly enhancing every aspect of the Outlands. From handling every challenge with patience to creating the vibrant experiences our players love (and putting up with all of our players’ quirks), their dedication is the backbone of everything we do! A heartfelt thank you to our COMPANIONS for their tireless efforts in supporting the ⁠newplayer community. Outlands can feel daunting to those new to our lands, yet you make their arrival just a bit gentler, all while relieving our staff’s workload. We truly appreciate you! Thank you for being a part of this journey. Together, we’ve built something extraordinary, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
