PATCH: February 9 – Poker, House Item Surveying, House Boat Buff and more!

Poker Revisions

  • Overhauled much of the code calcuating hand ranks / hand comparisons and distribution handling to fix a large number of remaining bugs in the poker system
  • Implemented Vorspire’s new FastGump system which virtually eliminates gump (i.e. menu) flicker for poker (we’ll be updating most of our other game system’s gump/menus to use the same feature shortly)

House Item Survey

  • Houses now have a Survey Items button on the first page of the House Gump
  • When a player clicks the Survey Items button, they will see [Insecure Item] in gold text over any item sitting in their house that is not locked down and [Insecure Container] in red text over any container not secured
  • If multiple unsecure items/containers are at the same location, the text will say [X Insecure Items] [X Insecure Containers] where X is the number
  • The player who clicked the button will also see a Gold Beam of light at any location with an Insecure Item and a Red Beam of light at any location with an Insecure Container
  • Players will receive system messages informing them if any insecure items or containers currently exist in the house and it will play the “Bad House Placement” audio sound as well (it will play the “Valid House Placement” sound if all items are locked down or secure)

House Boats

  • Porches of Houseboats are now treated as courtyards for the purposes of Recall/Gate/Hiking
  • Players can now Dock and Disembark ships onto the Porch of a house that they are the Owner/Co-Owner/Friends of

 

Ships

  • Players using the HelpStuck feature while on a ship will not count towards their daily limit on usage of the feature

Antiquities

  • Substantially Boosted the Drop Rate of Battle Antiquities for PvP events

Fame

  • Fixed an issue where players in some cases could gain fame by killing a player and that target player wouldn’t lose fame

Societies

  • Found an issue where Poison Potions were not showing up as Society Crafting Jobs (and Magic Resist Potions were occuring in their stead)
  • Aspect Kits will no longer show up for Society Crafting Jobs

Omni System

  • Fixed an issue where the Omni System was stuck and not triggerable (we’ll be looking at some rebalances for the difficulty and rewards of Omni Systems shortly here)

House Containers

  • Fixed an issue where players dropping items into stacks of Locked Down (but not Secured) containers in houses would increase the house’s lockdowns count
  • Fixed an issue where players dropping Potions into Locked Down stacks (not in Secure containers) would not correctly calculate lockdowns used

Shadow Aspect

  • Players who have triggered a Shadow Aspect Weapon should now correctly have their next backstab attack hit with 100% accuracy
  • Fixed an issue where the Shadow Aspect Weapon backstab hit damage was being doubled unintentionally

Distribution Chests

  • Distribution Chests will not distribute Trapped Containers to players; the player clicking “Distribute” will be notified of any items such as these that did not get distributed out to players

PvP Event Reward Chests

  • PvP Event Reward Chests (such as Castle Sieges, Corpse Creek Contests) will reveal a player if they lift an item from them

Event Boss Minions and Event Bosses

  • Event Boss Minions and Event Bosses will no longer award Society Job and Achievement Progress

Loot Skulls

  • Tokens of Heroism and Ankh Tokens will no longer unintentionally get converted to Loot Skulls on the corpses of Boss-level creatures

Monster Shuffle Credit Deeds

  • Fixed an issue where Monster Shuffle Credit Deeds were resetting their remaining balance upon server reboot

Crash Issues

  • Fixed a crash issue related to staff-created titles for NPCs
  • Fixed a crash issue related to AI Movement
