PATCH: January 4 – Rare Cloth & Dye Tomes, Event Support, Bug Fixes and more!

- Added a large amount of new staff-access Event Support code to provide additional support for custom events, Invasions, and special handling for regions for the purpose of events management
Reward Items
- The Winterlands Train Signal reward item is now correctly animated
Corpse Creek Contest
- Fixed an issue that was causing some players who had been disqualified from previous CCC events to no longer be able to participate in future ones
Aspect Gear
- Fixed an issue that was causing players to Activate different aspects (of different Tier levels) and not have their Tactics for their weapon to update properly to reflect the Tier change
- Fixed an issue that was causing players who were temporarily Raising/Lowering their “Active Tier Level” to not update some of the resulting stats from the change (such as Blood stat bonuses + Tactics bonuses)
- Players can now type [LowerWeaponAspect or [RaiseWeaponAspect to manually lower/raise their temporary “Active Tier Level” on their weapon/spellbook’s aspect (without using the menu)
- Players can now type [LowerSpellAspect or [RaiseSpellAspect to manually lower/raise their temporary “Active Tier Level” on their weapon/spellbook’s aspect (without using the menu)
- Players can now type [LowerArmorAspect or [RaiseArmorAspect to manually lower/raise their temporary “Active Tier Level” on their armor’s aspect (without using the menu)
Ocean Event Drops and Slayer Match
- Fixed an issue that was causing some Ocean content to drop “Wilderness” event drops instead of “Ocean” ones
- Fixed an issue that was causing some Ocean creatures to register as “Wilderness” Slayer types instead of “Ocean” ones
Server Rankings
- If multiple players end a season in having the same total for a category for [ServerRank, all of those players will now receive and share the same rank result (i.e. more than 3 players will end up receiving Garlands as well)
- We have removed the ability for players to hide their name via **** in [ServerRank listings
Magic Item Recycler
- Hatchets and Skinning Knives should no longer be auto-sorted into the Magic Item Recycler
Creature Reflection Abilities
- Creatures that “reflect” damage through abilities, such as Black Cats/Aegis Knights/Mirror Ice/etc will no longer reflect multiple hits coming from the same player/creature via mechanics such as Eldritch Aspect Special or Pincushion Archery Finisher (this was resulting in some players “insta-dying” from having hundreds of points of damage reflected instantly)
Rare Cloth Tome
- Players can now click a button next to each Hue list in a Rare Cloth Tome to see a preview of the color
Dyes Tome
- Players can now purchase a Dyes Tome from the Prevalia Market under the Tomes category
- Players can deposit any Rare Hue Dye item into a Dyes Tome
- Players can use the Left/Right arrows at the top of the upper left area of the menu to rotate through all the different Dyes types (such as Backpack Dyes, Runebook Dyes, Carpet Dyes, etc)
- Similar to the recent change to Rare Cloth Tomes, players can click the small button next to each Hue number to see a preview of that hue color
Strangelands
- Players can no longer use a Tunnel Shovel if they are already Hidden for another reason
Ships
- Ships being sunk and salvaged should have their Crew Cooldown reset to zero when redeemed
- Bosses, Mini-Bosses, and Ocean creatures on board a ship will no longer prevent that ship from moving (but will prevent it from being able to dock)
- Bosses and Mini-Bosses will no longer get a damage bonus for being “onboard” a ship while attacking it
Carpets
- Players can no longer use an Interior Decorator to move or rotate Carpet Tiles
- Updated the “Info” descriptions for Carpet Tiles in the Prevalia Market to let players know they cannot dye Carpet Tiles purchased from there
Disguise Kits
- Players can once again chose a specific name with Mastercrafted Disguise Kits, so long as it follows current “Player Rename” criteria for profanity and existing names
Creature Pathfinding
- When creatures (outside of a house) attempt to pathfind movement, and as a result break any containers/impassable objects next to them, they will now display an overhead “*breaks obstacle*” message and play a sound (they will also “rummage” any locked containers on the ground near them and add it to their backpack)
NPCs
- NPCs will no longer accept gold being dragged onto them unless the player is training a skill (i.e. the “Thou art giving me gold?” mechanic has been removed)
Real Estate Broker
- Fixed an issue that was causing a couple of house deed types when being sold back to the NPC Real Estate Broker to sell for the amount of an 8×8 (instead of being based on the deed’s actual price)
Treasure Chests
- Fixed a text formatting issue for treasure chest lockpicking/trap progress when single-clicking the chest
Dungeon Restrictions
- Fixed an issue that was allowing Murderers with a specific Dungeon Restriction to be able to recall into that dungeon if they did it from within a different dungeon (near a Golden Moongate)
Performance Improvements
- Fixed a number of Timer-related issues to hopefully improve server perfomance (and potentially reduce lag)
Help Stuck (Test Center)
- Players can now use the Help Stuck mechanic on Test Center an unlimited number of times per day
- Fixed an issue causing players who had used a Dungeon Moongate (to warp to a specific dungeon) to warp to 0,0,0 location when using Help Stuck on Test Center
Storage Shelves (Test Center)
- Storage Shelves on Test Center should now stock 500,000 of all normal shelf items (also several items like Veterinary Kits should now be properly stocked there)
