PATCH: January 8 – Server Cleanup, Bug Fixes and more
01 / 08 / 2021
Server Cleanup
We are performing an item audit that should clean out over 1 million unncessary items from the server and should improve server saves a bit
Board Games
Backgammon, Chessboards, and Checker Boards are now simply decorative items and cannot be played or double-clicked (this change will remove close to 200,000 game pieces from the game world which should improve server saves for everyone)
Arcane Runes
Arcane Runes when activated and placed on the ground will no longer generate visual + sound effects for every player affected by them (this was potentially causing lag, as in some cases players were placing 50+ runes in an Omni room and it was generating upwards of hundreds of visual effects for players every 5 seconds, and during peak times several Omni-Bosses were in progress simultaneously)
Achievements
Fixed an issue that was causing Skill-based achievements (such as reaching 100 Carpentry) from processing
An audit has been performed that will credit all players with Skill-based achievements they qualify for (players should check their Achievements page to see if they were credited)
Achievement Rewards
All organizer Tome items currently available in the Prevalia Market (such as Rare Cloth Tome, Dyes Tome, etc) have now been made available in the Achievements reward system for purchase with Achievement Reward Points
Dungeon Flashpoints
Fixed several issues with the boundaries for dungeons for the purpose of Dungeon Flashpoints flagging, including areas that were added for Stygian Rift Nodes regions (this was causing players blue flagging issues while entering those areas during an flashpoint event)
Mastercrafted Items
Mastercrafted items with “Display Crafter” turned off should now still display “[mastercrafted]” when clicked
Earthquake
Players will now need to have a valid LOS (line of sight) to a player or creature to hurt them if either the caster or the target is currently in a house
Antiquities
The Masonry Cart (Crafting Category) has now been replaced with Barrel Cart (the masonry cart graphic was unintentionally a flipped version of a Lodestone Mini-Boss rare)
Players who have any existing Masonry Carts can place a page in game and request a Barrel Cart replacement from staff
Language Filter
Ships are now considered public spaces for the purpose of the Public Language filter (only houses are now exempt from Language Filters)
