PATCH: June 15 – Food Satisfaction, Material Spellbook, Poison Tolerance Updates and more

Tamed and Summoned Creature PvP

  • Fixed several issues where tamed/summoned creatures were potentially receiving higher than a 50% melee chance to hit against players who had 100 Weapon skill
  • Fixed a number of Tamed Creatures Traits that were applying bonuses to PvP (Traits should NOT apply bonuses in PvP)
  • Fixed a number of Summoner’s Tome Upgrades that were applying bonuses to PvP (Upgrades should NOT apply bonuses in PvP)
  • All Summoner’s Tome Upgrades that increase Accuracy, Attack, Speed, or Damage will no longer be reflected in the Animal Lore page for the summon, as these bonuses will apply only in PvM against and will NOT apply in PvP against players (raw stats displayed in the Animal Lore page always refer to values that apply to PvM and PvP)

As a reminder, for Tamed/Summoned PvP, creatures controlled by players are capped at inflicting a maximum of (10 * Control Slots) Damage every 3 seconds, with any damage going above that amount, being reduced to 1 damage. The previous issues listed above were causing some pets to “very easily” hit that cap, more often than other pets

Stats Regeneration

  • Players will now passively regenerate 1 Hit Point every 4 seconds (previously was 6 seconds)
  • Players will now passively regenerate 1 Stamina every 2 seconds (previously was 4 seconds)

Food Satisfaction

Swing Speed Bonus
Players eating food will no longer increase their Hit Point and Stamina Regeneration rates

Instead, different levels of Food Satisfaction will now provide players a Swing Speed bonus (while not Flagged in PvP) as follows:

  • Measly Food (Non-Crafted): +0.5% Swing Speed Bonus
  • Paltry Food: +1% Swing Speed Bonus
  • Meagre Food: +2% Swing Speed Bonus
  • Adequate Food: +3% Swing Speed Bonus
  • Appetizing Food: +4% Swing Speed Bonus
  • Delectable Food: +5% Swing Speed Bonus

Players with the Taste ID skill will increase the effectiveness of their food bonuses by (Taste ID Skill / 100) % of normal

For example, a player who eats Deletectable Food and has 120 Taste ID skill will receive a (5% + (5% * (120 / 100))) = +11% Swing Speed Bonus

x2 Mana Regen Chance
Different levels of Food Satisfaction provide players a chance to regenerate 2 mana (instead of 1) during each meditation tick (while not flagged in PvP) as follows:

  • Measly Food (Non-Crafted): 2.5% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
  • Paltry Food: 5% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
  • Meagre Food: 10% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
  • Adequate Food: 15% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
  • Appetizing Food: 20% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
  • Delectable Food: 25% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana

If the player is actively meditating, the chance is reduced to 50% of normal (so 25% would become 12.5%)

Players with the Taste ID skill will increase the effectiveness of their food bonuses by (Taste ID Skill / 100) % of normal

For example, a player who eats Deletectable Food and has 120 Taste ID skill will have a (25% + (25% * (120 / 100)) = 55% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana instead of 1

Material Spellbook Mana Regen Bonuses
Material Spellbooks
(i.e. player-crafted color material spellbooks) provide a chance to regenerate 2 mana (instead of 1) during each meditation tick (while not flagged in PvP) as follows:

The bonuses from Material Spellbooks have been updated as follows:

Exceptional Quality: +10% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana

Dullhide Leather: +10% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
Shadowhide Leather: +15% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
Copperhide Leather: +20% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
Bronzehide Leather: +25% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
Goldenhide Leather: +30% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
Rosehide Leather: +35% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
Verehide Leather: +40% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
Valehide Leather: +45% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana
Avarhide Leather: +50% Chance Per Meditation Tick to Regen 2 Mana

Note: If on a meditation tick a player manages to receive bonus mana from both a Material Spellbook AND from Food Satisfaction, they will regenerate 3 mana (and not 4 mana)

Mana Refund

  • The maximum Mana Refund chance that players can receive for spellcasts is now 50% (previously was 66%)

Cure Potion Consumption

  • The first Cure Potion a player drinks every 30 seconds will now be a free consumption (players will get a system message telling them this occurred)
  • Previously this mechanic was exclusive to our PvP events, but we have extended it to the entire game world
  • Strangelands Greater Cure Potion loot drops will now occur in amounts of 3 (instead of 5) due to this change

Poison Tolerance
The handling on Poison Tolerance has been reworked as follows:

  • Whenever a player or tamed/summoned creature inflicts Greater Poison or above on another player, it applies a cumulative Poison Tolerance effect on the victim that lasts 5 minutes
  • A player can have multiple Poison Tolerance effects stacked on them, and each Poison Tolerence effect has their own independent duration timer
  • Poison Tolerance reduces the chance for ANY opposing players to Upgrade Poison Spellcasts OR Apply Melee Weapon Poison against them (i.e. a player with a 25% upgrade/application chance against a player with 50% poison tolerance would now have a 12.5% upgrade/application chance)
  • Players can at most receive 50% Poison Tolerance from stacked effects
  • Poison Tolerance has no effect in the Arena

Poison Tolerance increases as follows:

Hit with Greater Poison: +5% Poison Tolerance for 5 minutes
Hit With Deadly Poison: +10% Poison Tolerance for 5 minutes
Hit With Lethal Poison: +15% Poison Tolerance for 5 minutes

Guild Favors

Common:
 +15% Damage (Previously was 20%)
Uncommon: +25% Damage (Previously was 35%)
Rare: +35% Damage (Previously was 50%)

Boss Damage Resistance (Prevention)

+15% Damage Resistance (Previously was 20%)

Ship Combat

  • Giant Slug, Colossal Slugs, Flame Purgers, Corpse Purgers and Slime Purger (NPC) creatures will no longer have their ranged abilities leave behind residual graphics, as these were causing ships to be “stuck” in their path
