PATCH: Mar. 16 – St. Patrick’s Holiday Items, Omni System Update and more

A new MANDATORY file patch is now available for download. Please run your launchers before you login next. Click Verify to confirm you have the latest game files. This patch is required to see the new artwork, etc.

St. Patricks Event

  • A special St. Patrick’s event is now underway and will run from March 16th through March 23 (details in link below)

PvP Events

  • Players will no longer be able to use IncognitoPolymorph, or Disguise Kits during all PvP Events (Dungeon Flashpoints, Corpse Creek Contests, etc)
  • Players who join a PvP event in progress will have any existing IncognitoPolymorph, or Disguise Kit effects removed

Darkmire Temple Boulder Trap

  • Players will no longer be able to use Field Spells in the Teleport/Rope prevented areas near the Darkmire Temple Boulder Traps

Aspects

Air Aspect Armor

  • The Air Aspect Armor “Chance to Avoid Movement Effects” mechanic will now only avoid effects that are coming from creatures (players were using this to “escape” many unintended things like being frozen in place while digging Treasure Maps and so forth)

Holy Aspect Armor

  • The Holy Aspect Armor “Melee Damage and Damage Resistance Per Symbol Spent” mechanic will now last 10 seconds (previously was 5 seconds) but will now provide a (1.5% + (0.5% * Tier Level)) bonus [previously was (3.0% + (1% * Tier Level))]

Resource Stockpile

  • Added Dyes to the Misc category of the Resource Stockpile

Storage Shelves

  • Fixed an issue wearing Female Chest Armor would sometimes cause issues restocking other types of Chest Armors

Crafting

  • Fixed an issue where crafting using DeathDiscipline, and Holy Aspect Distillations and Cores were not contributing to Artisan Experience earned

Chivalry and Necromancy

  • Chivalry and Necromancy abilities that can be used while Hidden will not play Visual Effects if the player is Hidden (but will still play sounds as normal)

Houses

  • Fixed an issue where players were able to Ban creatures controlled by a Friend, Co-Owner, or Owner of a house

Omni System

  • The Tome of Heroism menu now has a “Add Token of Heroism” button players can click to target Tokens of Heroism in their backpack to add to the tome

Omni Boss Loot Bonus

  • The Tome of Heroism menu now has an “Increase Loot Bonus” button that players can click and target a Token of Heroism in their backpack, which will be consumed and increase the Loot Bonus of the Omni Boss
  • Consuming a Token of Heroism for a Mini-Boss Creature (such as Lodestone) will increase the Loot Bonus for the Omni Boss by 2.5%
  • Consuming a Token of Heroism for a Boss Creature (such as Infernus) will increase the Loot Bonus for the Omni Boss by 5.0%
  • Players can reach a max Loot Bonus of 50% for an Omni Boss
  • Players can use tokens of the same creature type multiple times to increase the Loot Bonus on an Omni Boss
  • Players can use any creature token type for this mechanic including those not required for Summoning the Omni Boss, such as those for Shadowspire Cathedral
  • Players cannot increase the Loot Bonus for an Omni Boss that has already been summoned
  • The Loot Bonus value for an Omni Boss will increase the flat amount of Gold dropped by the creature by that % amount, and will adjust the Per-Player (*Increases in Size* mechanic) chances to receive additional Special / Rare loot drops by that % value of normal

Parties

  • Fixed an issue where if the Leader of a party left the party, it would not assign a new Party Leader
  • Fixed an issue where sending a Direct Message to a player in your party would incorrectly give you a system message saying you sent a message to yourself

Ships

  • Fixed an issue where players could have a Client Crash when incorrectly targeting ships for the Yield Salvage mechanic

Loot

  • Spell ScrollsReagentsGems, and Arcane Runes will no longer occur as multiple small stacks in loot on creatures/chests/etc and will instead now occur as a single stack of the total amount combined (i.e instead of 25 individual Spell Scrolls appearing on a Boss Corpse, players will now see 1 Spell Scroll stack of 25)

Arena

  • Fixed an issue where “Disrupts” was not being correctly tracked for Stats Tracking

Forensic Eval

  • Using the Forensic Eval Skill or Skinning Knives to carve a corpse or SmartHarvest nearby corpses will no longer be restricted by Global Skill Cooldowns, and instead the Forensic Eval skill have its own unique cooldown of 0.5 seconds(i.e players using Stealth/Hiding will not be required to wait 10 seconds to carve corpses)

Plants

  • Cleaned up the handling on Plant Menus to have the Add Soil / Add Water / Remove Soil + Water Planters Spade menu appear on top of the Plant Bowl Menu (rather than underneath it)
  • Added a “Set to Ideal” button for Adding Soil / Adding Water to plants that will attempt to add Soil/Water needed to meet your current Estimate Ideal for the plant (will add partial amounts if player doesn’t have enough sufficient Soil/Water available)

Jousting

  • Fixed a rare occurance where players could get a Client Crash while doing Jousting

Aquarium Creatures

  • Fixed an issue where Juvenile Cuttlefish were spawning incorrectly as Juvenile Octopus

Creature Abilities

  • Fixed an issue where Phoenix “Epic Barrage” ability wasn’t reaching the full intended distance to targets (12 tiles)

Blade Spirits / Energy Vortex

  • The All Release function for followers will now release Blade Spirits and Energy Vortexes

Society Jobs

  • Increased the required amounts needed for Farmer’s Almanacs for Society Jobs

Strangelands Rewards

  • Added Crusader’s Corpse, Deathmage’s Corpse, and Monk’s Corpse to the potential rewards from a Strangeland Reward Sack
  • Existing Monk’s Corpse have been renamed to Battlemage’s Corpse (to reflect the swapping of Monk and Battlemage Templates some time ago)

Cooking/Heat

  • The Hellfire Boss Rare will now count as a Heat Source for plants and an Oven for Cooking

Achievement Rewards

  • Added missing “Info” button description text for a large number of Achievement Reward items

Miasma

  • Fixed an issue that was causing the graphical “Miasma” from Mummy-like creatures to sometimes remain in the game world after the creature had been killed/deleted

Test Shard

  • Fixed the [Go location of the Shadowspire Cathedral Boss
