PATCH: March 10 – Faction Updates and Many Fixes

Factions
Wayposts
- Waypost Control Ticks will now occur every 15 seconds
- Wayposts will now take 3 minutes to go from 0% to 100% Control
- Participating in a Waypost can now earn players up to 50 Potential Faction Score (scaled based on player’s Control %)
Flag Steal Attempts
- Flag Steal Attempt Control Ticks will now occur every 15 seconds
- Flag Steals will now take 3 minutes to go from 0% to 100% Control
- Participating in a Flag Steal Attempt can now earn players up to 50 Potential Faction Score (scaled based on player’s Control %)
Flag Purification
- Flag Purification Control Ticks will now occur every 15 seconds
- Flag Purifications will now take 3 minutes to go from 0% to 100% Control
- Players within 50 Tiles of the Flag Carrier during Flag Purification can now earn up to 50 Potential Faction Score (scaled based on player’s Control %)
Escorting
- If a player spends a cumulative 60 seconds or more within 50 Tiles of a non-Purified Faction Flag while it is outside of any Faction Castle or the Daemon Keep Region (i.e. they are Escorting the Flag to the Purification Pyre) they will have their Potential Faction Score earned from Flag Purification increased by +100% (to a max of 100 Potential Faction Score)
Flag Securing
- Flag Securing Control Ticks will now occur every 15 seconds
- Flag Steals will now take 3 minutes to go from 0% to 100% Control
- Participating in a Flag Securing can now earn players up to 25 Potential Faction Score (scaled based on player’s Control %)
Escorting
- If a player spends a cumulative 60 seconds or more within 50 Tiles of a Purified Faction Flag while it is outside of any Faction Castle or the Daemon Keep Region (i.e. they are Escorting the Flag to their Faction Castle) they will have their Potential Faction Score earned from Flag Securing increased by +200% (to a max of 75 Potential Faction Score)
Heat of Battle
Faction players will now receive a 30 seconds Heat of Battle flag whenever any of the following occur:
- They are in a Waypost Region and considered a Valid Contestant when a Control Tick occurs
- They are Purifying a flag and a Control Tick occurs
- They are in the Flag Room while their faction is making a Steal Attempt against a flag and a Control Tick occurs
- They inflict Damage on a Faction Door
- They are in the Flag Room while their faction is making a Secure Attempt for a flag and a Control Tick occurs
Faction Dungeons
Flag Bonuses
- Factions now receive a +5% Damage Bonus to Creatures in Faction Dungeons for each Faction Flag that is currently held inside their Faction’s Castle
- Factions now receive a +5% Loot Bonus on Creatures in Faction Dungeons for each Faction Flag that is currently held inside their Faction’s Castle
- Factions now receive a +10% Bonus to Faction Score earned from Faction Spawns in Faction Dungeons for each Faction Flag that is currently held inside their Faction’s Castle
Restrictions
- Players can no longer receive Murder Counts or Aggression Region Restrictions while in Faction Dungeons
- If players are kicked out of a Faction Dungeon due to IP Restrictions, they will now be ejected to a random location at the Daemon Keep region
Storage Shelves
Partial Resupply
- Storage Shelves will now Resupply items in partial amounts if the shelf does not contain the full amount requested for the player’s Loadout (for both Stacked and Non-Stackable items)
- Players will receive a system message for each item that was only partially resupplied
Downgrade Resources
- Storage Shelves can now Downgrade Resources or Food Types (for “Use Any Food Type”) multiple times when Resupplying if necessary in order to meet the requested amount for a player’s Loadout
- Players will receive a system message for each item type that was downgraded
A player has a Loadout requesting 5 Avarite Plate Chests and has Downgrade Resources enabled
The Storage Shelf has 0 Avarite Plate Chests available, but has 1 Verite, 1 Agapite, 1 Rose, 1 Copper, and 1 Shadow Iron available, which the player will instead receive
Storage Shelf Settings
- Storage Shelves now have a “Keep Poison Weapons” toggle that when Enabled during a Restock, will keep any Weapons in the player’s backpack that have any Poison Charges remaining and not add them to the shelf
Potion Increments
- Potions other than Heal/Cure/Refresh now have an increment change amount of 1 in Loadouts (previously was 5)
Detective Lens
- Detective Lens will now have a weight of .02 Stones
Mount Tokens
Unicorn Mount Token
- Unicorn Mount Tokens now have special Sounds and Effects when summoned
- Summoning effects for a Unicorn Mount Token will play at most once every 30 seconds (to prevent spamming)
Skeletal Mount Token
- Skeletal Mount Tokens now have special Sounds and Effects when summoned
- Summoning effects for a Skeletal Mount Token will play at most once every 30 seconds (to prevent spamming)
Smuggler NPCs
- Fixed the price on Blank Scroll commodities at Smuggler NPCs
Alchemy
- Greater Poison Potion and Deadly Poison Potions now have crafting options for Bundles of 25
Inscription
Martial Manuals
- Reduced the amount of Leather and Boards needed to craft Martial Manuals
- Adjusted the Society Job target amounts for Martial Manuals
Material Spellbooks
- Reduced the amount of Leather and Boards needed to craft Material Spellbooks
- Adjusted the Society Job target amounts for Material Spellbooks
House Boats
- Fixed an issue where certain House Boats would not allow players to launch ships from Courtyard areas
Runebooks and Runetomes
- Players should now be able to Restyle (i.e. Rotate) Runebooks and Rune Tomes in their backpack by shift-clicking them and selecting “Restyle”
Town Struggles
- Fixed an issue that was preventing players from being voted as MVP of a match if they were at the bottom of the list of players
Rental Rooms
- Players becoming Murderers will no longer change the Default Town for their Rental Rooms
- Any Rental Room currently set to Corpse Creek as a destination (as of this patch) will be switched to Prevalia
- If a Murderer exits a Rental Room, they will be teleported to the Corpse Creek Inn instead of their normal town destination
Decorative Wizard’s Satchels
- Players can now purchase Decorative Wizard’s Satchels from the Prevalian Merchant under the “Clothing” category
- Decorative Wizard’s Satchels are Decorative Clothing items and do NOT have the normal mechanics of Wizard’s Satchels and are NOT a container
- Decorative Wizard’s Satchels occupy the Outer Body layer and are treated like a Clothing item that can be Blessed with a Clothing Bless Deed (similar to Decorative Quivers)
Weapon Specials
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Melee Special Chance and Damage Mastery Chain Link to not provide its full bonus to Weapon Special Damage
- Fixed an issue that was causing Discpline Armor to not calculate its bonus to Bleed for Weapon Specials correctly
Weapon Finishers
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Fencing Assassinate Finisher to not properly utilize Poison Ticks and Disease Ticks to boost Damage fully
Atlas Books
- Atlas Books have been given a graphical overhaul
