PATCH: May 20 – Timers, Stygian Rift ELO, Creature AI and Bug Fixes…

Damage

  • We have fixed an issue that was causing all players to take 1 more point of damage for ALL sources (poison, spells, melee, etc) than was intended

Timers

  • We have overhauled our “SpecialAbility” timers code which processes things like Bleed and Disease Ticks, Buff expirations, Hamstring, etc to no longer progress while the server is frozen or in the middle of a save; i.e. players will no longer potentially take several ticks of Bleed/Disease damage once a server save resolves or have a hamstring effect expire during a server save or similar handling

Stygian Rifts

  • Murderers should now be able to use the Stablemaster in the arena during the sign-up period of Stygian Rifts
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes a group of 3 players in a party would get the message saying they had the wrong number of party members for sign-up
  • Fixed an issue where players were losing ELO despite winning matches
  • We have reset everyone’s Seasonal and Lifetime ELO Rating back to the starting 800 amount (this should put everyone on the same footing again now that we have revamped the sign up process, including for players who played Stygians in the “old” system and ended up with a very low ELO from their previous activities or got a high ELO against on a few opponents)

Event Damage

  • Players should no longer be able to take damage from other players while inside a Town Struggle Base or Stygian Rifts Cells region

Dungeons

  • Fixed a lingering issue where Dishonored players would occasionally be ejected from certain “dungeon-like” areas such as Urukton Bluffs and sent to Shelter Island

Creature AI

  • Fixed an issue where creatures with MeleeMage AI (i.e. creatures that do both casting and melee attacks) would get stuck doing only one type of attack
  • Player-controlled creatures should correctly use their set Combat Distance once again (Melee = 1 tile, Ranged = 12 tiles)

Rental Room

  • Fixed an issue where if player owning a rental room would delete their character (who created the Rental Contract) it would not try to determine a “new” owner from other characters on their account

Boss Results and Tokens of Heroism

  • Players who ONLY do healing during a Boss encounter will no longer be added to the [BossResults list of Damaging players for that boss; i.e. players will need to do at least 1 point of damage to a boss to get added to the damage list and therefore be considered for earning a Token of Heroism
  • Fixed an issue where players were not showing up on [BossResults for “Healing to Others” displays at all

Stealing

  • A minimum of 80 Snooping skill is now required to make any stealing attempts

Boss Spawns

  • Fixed an issue where guild summoning Mini-Bosses and Bosses was delaying server-wide natural Mini-Boss and Boss Spawns
  • All current boss spawn timers have been reset to a random time between now and their max spawn delay

Ship Upgrades

  • Fixed an issue where the Boarding Pikes upgrade wasn’t working correctly

Special Clothing

  • Updated the x/y offsets in our reward menus for special clothing that recently received art updates

Training Weapons

  • Training Weapons should return to their default “wooden” hue

Campfires

  • Fixed an issue where players were unintentionally completing Hiking Location unlocks with other player’s Campfires
  • Fixed and issue where Campfires that existed on server reboot were not being deleted
