PATCH: So Many QoL Updates & More!

The qualifying conditions for Battle Hamstring and Greater Battle Hamstring have been updated as follows:
Battle Hamstring
- When an attacker inflicts Hamstring on another player during an Organized PvP Activity, if the attacking player has 80 or more Raw Dexterity, and there are at least 2 or more Enemy (orange) players within 24 tiles, they can apply a more powerful version of hamstring called Battle Hamstring
- Battle Hamstring will further upgrade to become Greater Battle Hamstring if the attacking player is outnumbered and there more Enemy (orange) players than Friendly (green) within 24 tiles of them
Town Struggles
- Player Kills are now worth 20 Team Score (previously was 30)
- Player Kills are now worth 20 Individual Score (previously was 30)
- Fixed an issue where released or abandoned Mounts were not properly clearing from Team Bases
Factions
- Faction participating players who are “Ejected to Town” through mechanics, such as a finishing Omni Lair or an instanced [EventScore event, will now be teleported to their respective Faction town instead of always teleporting to Prevalia (but murderers will still be sent to Corpse Creek)
Field Spells
- Fixed an issue that was preventing players from being able to auto-attack any Wall of Stone and Energy Field spells cast by players
Challenger Dungeon
- Fixed an issue where creatures spawning inside of the weekly Challenger Dungeon were not increasing their stats and skills as much as intended
- A number of creatures that dynamically “spawn” additional creatures such Petram Cultists + Fen Daemons will now have their spawned creatures upscaled for Challenger Dungeon rules
Sanctuary Dungeon
- Contested Bosses will no longer occur in the weekly Sanctuary Dungeon
Trade Caravans
- Players must now have a 5% or higher “Escort Time Percent” in order to qualify for receiving items from a Trade Caravan
Tamed Creatures
- Creatures that have been tamed and released at least once will no longer Generate Loot or provide Experience Gains
Creature Corpses
- Players who have Looting Access to a creature’s corpse (grey colored) will no longer be blocked by LOS (line of sight) to interact with the corpse
Chivalry
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Damage Bonus from the Sacred Journey ability to sometimes not apply to players
Cartography
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Damage Bonus from the Cartography Exploration Bonus (Explorer’s Pack) to sometimes not apply to Lore Bosses or Lore Boss Minions from T8 Treasure Chests
Server Patches
- The “World save skipped due to pending patch” mechanic will now only skip World Saves that would be within 20 minutes of a pending patch time (Note: the server will ALWAYS SAVE the moment before it is taken down, however)
- Server Patch countdowns will now send players notifications as Overhead Text as well as System Messages and Sound Effects
- When players log in while a Server Patch countdown is in progress, the player will immediately receive notifications for the pending server patch
Pit Trials
- Added 8 additional Pit Trial instances (for a total of 16 available)
- Creatures that normally are non-aggressive, such as Daylights or Frogs, will now spawn as Aggressive during Pit Trials
Bosses
- All “minions” spawned by any Boss-type creature will no longer be Tameable
- Fixed some visibly hard to discern abilities such as the Omni Abyssal Daemon’s Void ability
Houses
- We have removed the housing placement restriction that was preventing houses from being placed where the roof of the house would be above 128z level and give players a “Invalid location: Elevation Too High” response
- Moving Crates for houses are now accessible to all Accounts across a player’s OutlandsID (previously were only accessible by an individual account)
- House Placement delay restrictions (which are delays for attempting to place a house multiple times during an IDOC) are now tracked across an entire OutlandsID instead of just by character
House NPCs and Prestige-Purchased NPCs
- Players can now shift-click and select Customize to edit the features of House NPCs such as Stablemasters, Dockmasters, House Stewards, and Prestige-Purchased NPCs such as Healers, Mages, etc
Distribution Chests
- The “Divide Gold” option has been removed from the “Settings and Options” section of the menu
- Added options for “Gold (Divide Evenly)”, “Doubloons (Divide Evenly)”, and “Arcane Essence (Divide Evenly)” in the Items to Split or (Divide) options section
- The Empty Nested Containers mechanic will no longer empty items from Locked containers (players will get a system message if this occurs)
Holding/Lifting Items
- Players inside of a Dungeon, or any Recall/Gate Restricted region, cannot use any form of Magical Travel (Hiking / Recall / Moongate) to exit the area if they are holding/dragging an item
- Players cannot cast the Teleport Spell or use Adventurer’s Rope if they are holding/dragging an item
- Players will be prevented from lifting items while in the act of moving via Adventurer’s Rope
Smoke Bomb
- Fixed an issue where players were able to use Smoke Bombs while in the middle of resolving an Adventurer’s Rope teleport action
Mastery Chain Links
- Players can no longer install or remove Mastery Chain Links from a Mastery Chain while inside of a Omni Boss region
- Players can no longer use Mastery Chain Link Tomes while inside of a Omni Boss region
Omni Boss
- Fixed a rare issue where Omni Bosses that were killed after 60 minutes would not generate a Mastery Chain Link for a player who was outside of the Omni Lair when their link was distributed (which normally would go to the corpse)
Redline System
- The upper left corner of the Redline System menu will now show how many Available Upgrade Points the player has as well as their Total Earned from all locations
Magic Item Vaults
- Magic Item Vaults will no longer allow restocking of any headwear that has been “Restyled” to another type via a Leather Cap Restyle Deed
Magic Item Recycler
- Fixed an issue where the animation of the Magic Item Recycler wouldn’t display properly when rotated in certain restyle types
Explosion Potion
- Explosion Potions are now considered “stuck” to creature the moment they are thrown and target the creature, rather than the moment the thrown potion reaches the target, as this will prevent situations where the creature dies before the potion reaches them (and never becomes stuck) and instead hurts nearby players
Aspects
- Activating an Echo or Reseting Redline Upgrades will now set the Active Tier of all of a player’s Aspects to their maximum tier (including tiers gained through Redline Upgrades)
- Damage caused by using a Trapped Pouch will no longer be prevented by any Aspect effects that prevent raw damage such as Holy Shield or Frost Shell
- Fixed an issue where Water Aspect Armor would sometimes not boost healing amounts received from other players
Bank Queue
- When players open their Bank from any Banker NPC, if they have any items currently in their Bank Queue, it will now automatically also launch the Bank Item Queue menu
Weapon Abilities
- Weapon Abilities that have a duration (such as Skirmish or Full Draw) will now display a “Weapon Ability expired” system message when the ability expires
Guilds
Player Stats for Dungeon Boss Summoning
The stats tracking for individual player contributions to the Summoning of Bosses will now only reset for an specific dungeon if one of the following happens:
- A guild member double-clicks the Reset Stats button for that dungeon’s stats
- 60 days pass without the guild using the Reset Stats button for that dungeon’s stats
Players can see under the “Last Reset” how long it has been since the player stats for a dungeon has been reset
Player Stats for Trade Caravan Summoning
The stats tracking for individual player contributions to the starting of Trade Caravans will now only reset if one of the following happens:
- A guild member double-clicks the Reset Stats button for the contributions page
- 60 days pass without the guild using the Reset Stats button to reset player stats
Players can see under the “Last Reset” how long it has been since the player stats for a Trade Caravan contributions have been reset
Last Rank Change
- Fixed an issue that was causing the “Last Rank Change” date for members to always match their “Join Date” (should be fixed on any new Rank Changes for existing players)
Ships
- If an ocean player dies and grants Infamy to other players, there will be a 5 minute cooldown before that same player can grant Infamy again
- Removed “skeletal corpse” items from Ghostly Ship Themes which were causing issues with Razor and corpse looting
- Fixed an issue where previously “neutral” Ship NPC types such as Fisherman, Tradesman, etc would resolve aggro and targeting in combat differently than other “Evil” NPC crew types
- The Insatiable Maw (Mini-Boss) should now have the correct text hue (pink) in the Spyglass search results menu
Ship Castaways
Fishing Spots
- Players must now first trigger at least one Creature Spawn from a Fishing Spot before any Castaways at that location can be accepted from there
- Players will always trigger a Creature Spawn within the first 5 fishing attempts at a Fishing Spot with a Castaway
- Players will receive a “Danger still lurks in the water and you must fish and uncover it first before you may do that” message if a Creature Spawn has not yet occured from a Fishing Spot where a player attempts to accept a Castaway
Tracking
- Players will no longer be able to see Ship Castaways using the Tracking skill (on land)
Antiquities
- Players can now Register the same specific type of Antiquity multiple times
- Antiquities will now say “[Registered to X]” or “[Unregistered]” when single-clicking on them at any location
Rental Vendors
- The “Deposit” gold button on Rental Vendors now has a 5,000 gold option and a 50,000 gold option (previously was only 1,000 gold option)
- Players banned from a house can now purchase items from Player Vendors
Creatures
- The Tidal Krait’s “Choke” ability should now work in PvP
Prevalia Trunk
- Fixed an issue that was preventing Long Rustic Bar and Rustic Bar Addon Deeds to be added to Prevalia Trunks
Trophy Hutch
- Added support for a number older, missing Event Reward items to be placable in Trophy Hutches
Codexes / Tomes
- When a player double-clicks any Codex/Tome-type item, and they do not meet the skill requirements for it, they will now receive a system message informing them which skills are required to utilize it
Gump Menus
- Fixed a number of Gump menus that wouldn’t allow the player to close the menu while out of range of an item, such as Decoratable Christmas Tree Addons
- Fixed an issue where players via scripts could end up with a “negative” value page in their Crafting Queue menu
Healing Overhead Text
- Healing effects that have overhead text (such as Metabolism for tamed followers) will no longer display any text if the healing amount is 0
Guilds
Guild Favors
- Fixed an issue that was causing some Guild Favors and Weekly Server Bonuses to not properly work in some sections of Tidal Tomb dungeon
Rank Privileges
- Guilds can now set which Rank Mininum is allowed to Edit Member Notes (players can still only edit notes of members with a lower Rank them themselves)
MIB / SOS
- Fixed an issue where Gold/Doubloons earned from MIB/SOSes wouldn’t count towards a player’s Server Rankings or their Guild’s Ocean Boss Summoning Progress
Innkeepers
- Fixed an issue where the ‘Locate Innkeeper’ mechanic for town NPCs (by saying “Innkeep” to any NPC) would cancel the tracking arrow after the player ventured too far away
Resource Maps
- Double-clicking and deleting a Resource Camp generated by a Resource Map (Lumber Map, Fishing Map, etc) can now only be done by the player with the corresponding Resource Map in their backpack
Treasure Map Chests
- Any player can now use the “Demolish” mechanic of Treasure Map Chests if the chest contains 0 Items
Strangelands
- The Death Mage template now begins with 85 Taste Identification skill
Customizations
- Fixed the “Drunkard” customization to use Mounted animations when neccessary
Summoner’s Tome Set Default Names
- Fixed an issue that was preventing players from using the Set Default Names menu of the Summoner’s Tome to set a Follower name back to a “” blank entry (i.e. remove the name)
Help System
- Updated the Website button in the Player Harrassment section of the Help menu to launch the Player Rules section of the Outlands Website
Spell Scrolls
- Fixed an issue where the Summon Air Elemental Scroll was using the wrong graphic
